The event is scheduled for Thursday at Missouri Western from 5 to 7 p.m.
Educational resources are available for people that are trying to quit.
Cardiologist Jane Schwabe said that breaking a nicotine habit is one of the hardest habits she sees people break.
"There's a lot of things in our life that we have no control of...but smoking, none of us were born smoking," she said.
Schwabe said that it is possible to reverse some damage from tobacco by quitting.
November is dedicated to lung-related diseases.
