Conservation Dept. Offers Two Days of Free Fishing

On June 9 and 10 the Missouri Department of Conservation is suspending fishing-permit requirements. The days are to encourage Missourians to get out and enjoy the 300 MDC-owned or managed fisheries.
(JEFFERSON CITY, Mo.) If you're looking for some free entertainment this weekend, head out to one of Missouri's fishing lakes, ponds of streams.

For this weekend only, the Missouri Department of Conservation is offering free fishing, as part of Free Fishing Days.

During this time, fishing permit requirements will be suspended.

MDC hopes the free days will encourage Missourians to get out to the more than 300 MDC-owned or managed fishing lakes, ponds, or streams.

Normal fishing regulations, such as limits on size and number of fish, remain in effect during Free Fishing Days.
