(KANSAS CITY, Mo.) A federal appeals court has upheld the sentence of a former St. Joseph priest convicted of child pornography.

Shawn Ratigan was sentenced last year to 50 years in prison after pleading guilty to producing child pornography in Clay County.

Ratigan was charged in May of 2011 after police found a flash drive containing hundreds of images of children.
