Back-to-Back Homers Highlight the Mustangs Win

The Mustangs 3-4-5 hitters provided plenty of fireworks in Tuesday night's win.

(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) Before the fireworks show could begin at Phil Welch Stadium Tuesday evening, the Mustang bats were lighting up the sky.

St. Joseph (24-8, 18-8 MINK) hit a pair of triples and home runs in the first two innings against the United States Military All-Stars on its way to a 10-1 win.

Already with a 5-0 lead in the second, Mark Robinette hit a two-out triple to extend the inning to clean-up hitter, Kris Koerper. The Texas native ended up sending a pitch over the left field wall for a two-run home run. The next batter, Jordan Guida, followed Koerper's blast with a home run of his own.

The Mustangs are home for a second straight night on Independence Day with a game against Sedalia.
