Betty loved her family dearly and enjoyed sewing, needlework, blues and country music. She lived most of her life in Savannah and was a Christian. Betty worked several years as a seamstress at Townsend and Wall and Einbenders.
Survivors include, her mother, Beatrice; four sons, David (Judy) Kempf, Conroe, TX, Jack (Kim) Kempf, St. Joseph, MO, Curt (Paula) Kempf, Kansas City, KS, and Rob (Stephanie) Merritt, Country Club, MO; daughter, Lou Ann (Kirby) Wilson, Kansas City, MO; two sisters, Delpha Cooper, St. Joseph, Mo and Flo (Chad) Riddle, Savannah, MO; ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Celebration of Life will be 2:00 PM Thursday, March 27, 2014 at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home, Savannah, Missouri. Family receiving hours will be 1 to 2 PM Thursday, March 27 at the Funeral Home.
