Bitter Cold, Strong Winds Send Shiver Across the U.S.

The latest round of Arctic air is being felt in the Midwest and beyond.
(ABC) Forecasters warn frigid temperatures across much of the country are going to get even colder.

Another round of Arctic air has already moved into the northern United States.

Blinding snow paralyzed the Dakotas on Sunday. Howling winds and whiteout conditions caused school closures in several cities across the Midwest.

Even winter-savvy folks in Minnesota are weary of this bitter cold.

"I don't like it," said one woman.

This brutal shot of cold air will press south impacting millions living In places better known for sunny beaches than blizzards.

The National Weather Service has issued winter storm watches, warnings and advisories from Texas eastward along the Gulf Coast through parts of the Carolinas and Virginia.
