Bolles Ready to Take Over at Northwest

Four years after his brother's last start for Northwest, Brady Bolles is ready to take over at quarterback.
(MARYVILLE, Mo.) Trevor Adams' three seasons as Northwest Missouri State's starting quarterback culminated in a Division II National Championship.

His time with the Bearcats bridged the gap between brothers Blake and Brady Bolles. Blake captained the Northwest offense for the two seasons before Adams, leading his team to the 2009 National Title. Now, Brady is ready to take the reigns as the primary signal caller.

Despite being a two-year backup to Adams, the nation's most efficient passer in 2013, Bolles played a significant in the Bearcats' 15-0 season. He completed 79 passes for 1,119 yards and seven touchdowns, but did his damage primarily with his legs. He was the team's third leading rusher with 686 yards and 12 scores on 137 carries.

He also got his first career start in a 43-7 win over Missouri Southern.

Playing with the first team in Northwest's Spring Game on Saturday, he completed 4 of 10 passes for 46 yards and carried twice for seven yards.
