Cameron Diner Sending Help to Orrick after Tornado

D-Dub's diner is holding a fundraiser to help with the rebuilding efforts in Orrick.
(CAMERON, Mo.) After an EF2 tornado tore through Orrick, Mo. last Saturday, clean up and rebuilding has begun.

A community here in the Midland Empire doesn't want them to do it alone. D-Dub's Draggin' Dragon Diner in Cameron is doing its part in helping Orrick.

On Thursday, May 15 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., 20 percent of all of the restaurant's sales will go to Orrick for the rebuilding efforts.

D-Dub's owner, Derek Williams, used to work for the principal of Orrick High School. So with ties to the town, he and his community want to provide support.

"If there's somebody who needs help, we want to help them and right now Orrick needs help.  It's kind of what we do.  We want to be involved in our community, and when it comes to something like a tornado, I feel like all of northwest Missouri is our community, so we want to help them out," said Williams.

D-Dubs will also have a donation jar available if you're not able to make it to the benefit on Thursday.
