(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) St. Joseph police are looking for the driver of a car who barreled through a Southside auto repair shop Friday morning.

It happened at Bennett's Auto on King Hill Avenue around 3:30 a.m.

Police believe someone drove right through the front of the building.

The crash left glass and bricks scattered throughout the shop.

The owners want to find out what happened.

"Quite surprised about it," said owner Daniel Bennett. "We ran up here as quick as we could, there's no vehicle here, they left the scene. We called the neighboring businesses and nobody really had any information on what happened."

Nothing was missing from the shop.

If you can help police, call the TIPS Hotline at (816) 238-TIPS.
