The only larger blown lead in NFL playoff history was a 32-point collapse by the Houston Oilers in the 1992 playoffs.
The comeback win is nothing new for Colts quarterback Andrew Luck. He's now led his team back to victory 11 times in two seasons. Luck threw for 443 yards, four touchdowns and three interceptions in the win.
Injuries slowed the Chiefs from the beginning of the game. Jamaal Charles left the contest just four minutes into the first quarter with a concussion. Donnie Avery and Brandon Flowers also left early with the same diagnosis. Knile Davis exited the game in the second half with a knee injury leaving third-string running back Cyrus Gray in to close it out.
Alex Smith played lights out for much of the contest finishing with a career-high 378 yards and four touchdowns on 30-46 passing. Smith was sacked twice in the game, including a fumble on one that led to an Indianapolis touchdown in the third quarter.
