Designs for both schools are quite different. The Carden Park location will be a modern open-space layout with two stories and Oak Grove will have just one story with a more traditional look.
There were some delays because of the harsh winter but leaders with the district say crews have worked overtime to get back on track.
"I think the community will be very proud of them. Both of them will be beautiful buildings and very, very functional. They will also have the most modern conveniences so it is something that we needed a long time and we're really happy to be able to do it," stated St. Joseph School District Director of Operations Chris Silcott.
All classrooms will have bright colors on the walls. Education experts say they stimulate the brain and help students learn. Road improvements are also underway at both school sites.
