Crews Quickly Extinguish Early Morning Fire at St. Joseph Plastics

Six fire trucks responded an early morning fire at St. Joseph Plastics. The fire was contained within minutes. No one was injured.
(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) St. Joseph firefighters were able to quickly extinguish an early morning fire on Friday.

The fire started around 6:45 a.m. at St. Joseph Plastics in the 1100 block of Fifth St.

Six fire trucks responded to the fire and were able to extinguish the fire within minutes.

The President of St. Joseph Plastics Rob Starr said they believe the fire started in a machine that makes pellets of plastic.

Starr said the fire was contained but there was a lot of smoke.

No one was injured during the fire.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
