Nobody was inside at the time.
(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) A fire destroyed a home in St. Joseph early Sunday morning.

The St. Joseph Fire Department said nobody was inside at the time.

It happened at a home near 16th and Seneca Street around 1:30 in the morning.

Crews were on the scene until four in the morning battling flames.

Fire investigators say it is still too early to determine what caused the fire.

They were unable to enter the building, but estimate the fire caused about $50,000 in damage.
