Fire Destroys Unoccupied Garage, Cause Unknown

Firefighters from Faucett, Agency, St. Joseph and Rushville were called to battle the fire that started around 4:30 this morning.
BUCHANAN CO., Mo. -- A fire destroyed a garage in rural Buchanan County Thursday.
It happened overnight at the unoccupied structure on Highway V.
Firefighters from Faucett, Agency, St. Joseph and Rushville were called in to battle the fire that started around 4:30 this morning.
When they arrived around 5 a.m., the 3-bay residential-style garage was fully engulfed in flames.
The Buchanan County Sheriff's Department said the shop was stocked with pallets that were being repaired and resold.
The fire marshal was unable to determine a cause.
The building did not have electricity, so they did rule out an eletrical problem as a factor.
