Habitat for Humanity's ReStore has partnered with Walmart in St. Joseph to collect used furniture and other building materials.
Anything collected Friday and Saturday will be taken to the Habitat ReStore at 827 S. 9th street. The items are re-purposed and sold. The money raised through Habitat ReStore helps the organization with building projects throughout the city.
"We're just hoping that people will search through their garages, their basements and get out those things they don't need anymore and bring them out to us," said Frank Stanley, Habitat board member.
The ReStore crew will be at the North Belt Walmart from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. collecting items both days.
