Highway Patrol: Heavy Rain a Factor in I-29 Motorcycle Accident

Monday's stormy weather is blamed for an accident that injured a St. Joseph man. Troopers say Paul Branson, 47, was thrown from his motorcycle when he went off Interstate 29 during a period of heavy rain Monday.
(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) Monday's stormy weather is blamed for an accident that seriously injured a St. Joseph man.

Troopers say Paul Branson, 47, was thrown from his motorcycle when he went off Interstate 29 during a period of heavy rain Monday around 9:30 p.m.

Branson went off the highway south of St. Joseph on his bike and hit a guardrail before he was ejected.

He was taken to Heartland with serious injuries.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Branson was wearing a helmet.
