K-Jo 105.5 Radio Raises Money for Camp Quality

An all day radio-a-thon raised nearly $20,000 for the summer camp for kids with cancer.
(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.)  Local radio station K-Jo 105-5 continued its support of Camp Quality Monday with an all-day radio-a-thon fundraiser.

The station broadcast live from Caribou Coffee at the Hy-Vee complex with a goal of raising about 20,000 dollars.

For more than 10 years, K-Jo supported the summer camp for kids with cancer.

Over that time, they've collected more than $100,000 for Camp Quality.

Station staff say it's been a great partnership with the camp.

"You think about kids with cancer and they're as young as five up to 17, and you think, oh gosh, it has to be sad to see these kids," said Gregg Lynn, morning show host at K-Jo 105.5. "It is really the opposite. It is really the happiest place you would ever see in your life."

The fundraiser collected $19,700, but you can still give to Camp Quality by clicking here.
