Kansas State will Play Michigan in Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl

The Wildcats earn their first-ever meeting with Michigan in Tempe, Ariz. on Dec. 28.
(MANHATTAN, Kan.) Kansas State started the 2013 season 2-4, but won five of their last six games to become bowl eligible for the fourth straight season.

The Wildcats will face Michigan in the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl in Tempe, Ariz. on Dec. 28. It will mark the first ever meeting between the two schools.

Kansas State (7-5) finished fifth in the Big 12 standings, originally slating them to play in the Holiday Bowl, but BCS bids for fellow conference schools Baylor and Oklahoma allowed the Wildcats to move up.

This is their third trip to the bowl, formerly known as the Copper and then Insight.com Bowl, and sixth trip to Tempe for a bowl game.

Michigan began (7-5) the year 5-0, but dropped four of its last five contests.
