Lafayette's Massey Commits to Northwest

The senior receiver is the second Lafayette player in two years to commit to the Bearcats.
(ST. JOSEPH) Another local talent has chosen to hop on with the defending Division II National Champions next season.

Lafayette senior Cody Massey has committed to Northwest, per head coach Paul Woolard. The receiver caught 49 passes for 717 yards and 12 touchdowns. He was just one of several weapons that helped get the Fighting Irish to the Class 4, District 8 title game for the first time under Woolard.

It's the second straight year a Lafayette player has chosen to join the Bearcats as Massey would reunite with former Irish offensive lineman Bryce Denton.

Lafayette senior Xavier Kurth also signed with the Northwest basketball program earlier this year.
