Martin Rilinger, 49, pleaded guilty to his role in the killing of Jason Davies in September 2012. Rilinger and Robert Jarrell were charged with second-degree murder after they allegedly beat Davies to death with a frying pan and a baseball bat. Davies' body was found near the Missouri River in Leavenworth.
Rilinger was sentenced to 15 years in prison. He will not be eligible for parole until he has served at least 85 percent of the sentence.
Jarrell's trial is scheduled for August.
