It's the 45th Annual celebration of the event and held as a fundraiser for St. Patrick's Church.
Those who organize the event every year are passionate about their work and their community.
"I do it mainly to keep the church open because if we didn't make the money we do, they'd probably close it down," said Andy Hernandez, who was serving up enchiladas and other Mexican fare. "It's special to us, it can't get no more special."
"I don't want to see St. Patrick's close like our school closed 10-11 years ago," said Marcelino Canchola, who is one of this year's co-organizers. "We want this to thrive. This is a thriving community and I want to be a part of it."
The Mexican Fiesta continues Saturday. Hours are 5-11 p.m.
A variety show will start at 6 p.m.
Maria the Mexican will be on stage with music at 6:30 p.m.
