(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) An Easton mother faces charges for the crash that killed her 1-year-old son.

Authorities say Alicca Williams, 24, was driving with a suspended license when she crossed the center line and hit a snow plow on Missouri Route C east of St. Joseph on Jan. 6.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Williams' son, Kaiber Williams, was in the front seat at the time of the collision and he was not properly restrained in a safety seat.

The boy was taken to Heartland Regional Medical Center, then transported by helicopter to Children's Mercy Hospital where he later died.

Alicca Williams was arrested Friday for outstanding warrants on operating a vehicle without insurance and without a license.

The Buchanan County prosecutor's office charged the Alicca Williams with a Class C felony of endangering the welfare of a child.

She is scheduled for an arraignment on Tuesday, Jan. 21.
