Mother Pleads Not Guilty to Endangering Child in Deadly Crash

Alicca Williams pleaded not guilty to the charge of endangering the welfare of a child.
(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) An Easton mother, charged in an accident that killed her son, appeared in court Thursday.

Alicca Williams, 24, pleaded not guilty to the charge of endangering the welfare of a child.

Prosecutors say Williams' one-year-old son, Kiber, was not properly restrained when she lost control of her car on an icy road east of St. Joseph and hit a snow plow earlier this year.

Williams was also driving without a license at the time of the accident and had warrants for her arrest for two prior traffic offenses.

Her next court date, a trial setting, is April 10.
