Mother Sentenced in Crash that Killed Young Son

A judge sentenced Alicca Williams to five years probation.
(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) A northwest Missouri mother is sentenced for a crash that killed her young son.

Alicca Williams appeared in a Buchanan County courtroom Thursday.

A judge sentenced her to five years probation.

Williams had pleaded guilty to endangering the welfare of a child after her 20-month-old son was killed in a crash.

Prosecutors say Kaiber Williams was not properly restrained when she lost control of her car on an icy road and crashed into a snow plow back in January.

"The end result of everything remains that your son is dead due to your own actions," said Judge Daniel Kellogg.

"I don't have him and I have to live with that everyday," Williams said in court.

Judge Kellogg also took away Williams' driving privileges.
