Motorcycle Ride Raises Money for Fallen Officers

The Blue Knights hosted the ride to raise money for families of police officers killed in the line of duty.
(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) A charitable cause in St. Joseph had people riding their motorcycles around town on Saturday.

The Blue Knights hosted their annual ride through St. Joseph to raise money for families of police officers killed in the line of duty.

The money goes to the C.O.P.S. organization, which stands for Concerns for Police Survivors.

Officers and the community alike joined together to ride in Saturday's event.

"We love the support of the community," said Frank Till, a Blue Knight member. "There are cops here but there are a lot of people from the community that are not law enforcement that came out to show their respect and support the fallen officers, not only of Missouri but of the United States."

The group rode a total of about 70 miles around St. Joseph.

The day ended with a pulled pork dinner waiting for the riders.
