Multiple Reports of Damage Throughout NWMO from Strong Storms

Baseball-sized hail, strong winds and localized heavy rains are causing damage throughout several northwest Missouri counties Tuesday night.
(NORTHWEST MISSOURI) Strong storms across eastern Nebraska and western Iowa have dropped south into northeast Kansas and Northwest Missouri Tuesday night.

There are numerous reports of damage and power outages.

In Atchison County, Missouri, sheriff's department deputies report power outages throughout the county.

Power lines are reported down in Rock Port. Transformers have blown in the city and there are trees that have fallen and landed on cars according to the sheriff's department.

Tarkio reports trees down.

One home in Fairfax also has reportedly had a wall cave in and windows blown out due to baseball-size hail.

There were no reports of injuries.

In Nodaway County, the sheriff's department reports many roads in Maryville under water.

They also say significant damage from baseball-size hail in Skidmore.

Much of Nodaway County has lost power. KCP&L reporting nearly 1,200 customers are without power in Maryville.

In Tarkio, nearly 90 percent of customers are without power.

About half of all KCP&L customers in Rock Port are without power

Power lines and debris reported blocking parts of Hwy. 113.

The next concern for the area will be flooding. There are multiple flash flood watches out for the overnight hours.
