Johnny Coy hit a two-run homer in the sixth inning for the St. Joe Alumni, and Brady Anderson came through with the go-ahead RBI single for the Mustangs in the eighth.
But the biggest moment of the night came before the first pitch.
It was Fellowship of Christian Athletes Night at Phil Welch Stadium, and prior to the game the St. Joseph Mustangs honored the late Erin Hook.
Donning a purple jersey with Erin's initials on the sleeve, her brother Ryan Hook expressed his gratitude for the support from the Mustangs and the community since her tragic death.
"I don't know how we could've gotten through this without our friends and family and especially St. Joe," Hook said. "It's been an outpouring of love the entire time."
Funds raised from the 50-50 raffle and jersey auction went toward the Erin L. Hook FCA Camp Scholarship Fund.
