Highs today will be in the low to mid 80s, but things will be heating up into the weekend.
( ST. JOSEPH, MO. ) There will be plenty of sunshine this afternoon as high pressure dominates the weather pattern for Thursday. If you are heading out to MWSU for the first day of Chiefs Training Camp, it will be nice as highs will only reach the low to mid 80s. Winds will be out of the southeast at 10 to 15 miles per hour. Tonight, a warm front will be making its way into the viewing area. Temperatures will only drop down into the upper 60s under partly cloudy skies. Tomorrow will heat up quite a bit as the warm front continues to move through the region. Sunny skies will continue throughout the day as temperatures climb into the mid 90s. Heat index values will range from the upper 90s to 105 degrees. It will be breezy as winds will be blowing out of the southwest at 10 to 15 miles per hour and gusting up to 25 miles per hour.
