Northwest Forces 26 Turnovers in Win Over Peru State

The Bearcats scored 29 points off turnovers Tuesday night.
(MARYVILLE, Mo.) Northwest Missouri State men's basketball pushed its win streak to three games with a 83-60 win over Peru State Tuesday night.

The Bearcats (4-2) forced 26 Bobcat turnovers in the game, and score 29 points off them.

Dillon Starzl paced Northwest with 15 points and eight rebounds. Conner Crooker was 5-6 shooting from the field for 12 points, and Bryston Williams added 11 points. Each player also pulled down five rebounds.

Senior guard DeShaun Cooper is still trying to find a rhythm after missing the 2012-13 season with a knee injury. Cooper shot just 1-6 Tuesday finishing with eight points and five turnovers. As a team, Northwest finished with a season-high 18 turnovers.

The Bearcats next game comes Friday in the Drury Thanksgiving Classic from Springfield. Northwest will face defending national champ Drury at 3:30pm.
