Northwest Gets in First Practice in Alabama

The Bearcats and Lenoir-Rhyne come together for the first time for Thursday's National Championship press conference.
(FLORENCE, Ala.) Northwest Missouri State and Lenoir-Rhyne came together for the first time on Monday as both teams got in a practice and met for a press conference in Florence, Ala., the site of Saturday's Division II Football National Championship Game.

This marks a national-best eighth trip for Northwest, while Lenoir-Rhyne is playing in their first title game in just their second playoff appearance in program history.

Both teams will be playing their first games away from home since Nov. 16th. Lenoir-Rhyne brings their triple option and the nation's most efficient running attack, averaging 377.9 yards per game despite no single rusher breaking the 1,000-yard barrier.

KQ2 will air a special Back to Bama: Northwest Pregame Show at 6:30 p.m. on Friday and again at midnight on Saturday to preview the matchup.
