Ohio Students in Help Local Family Build Home

(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) A group of students from Ohio are in town this week to help a St. Joseph family build their dream home.

Nearly 20 students from Ohio State University are volunteering with  Habitat for Humanity to build a home.

The student volunteers, members of SERVitecture, are all architecture, design and engineer majors.

The group travels across the country to assist with various home-building projects. They chose St. Joseph because they saw the need for volunteers and wanted to explore the town.

"Spreading out the help wherever we can is really important and I think that making an impact in our hometown is one great thing but being able to take that to other cities is also something that is pretty awesome," stated Claire Ronan, treasurer of SERVitecture at Ohio State University.

Volunteers will be in town for the rest of the week.
