The con-artist crime flick "American Hustle" and "Gravity" lead the pack of Oscar nominations with 10 each.
They are just two of the nine films nominated for Best Picture including:
"Dallas Buyers Club"
"12 Years a Slave"
"The Wolf of Wall Street"
Golden Globe winner Leonardo DiCaprio is up for Best Actor along with Christian Bale, Bruce Dern, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Matthew McConaughey - who is celebrating again after his Golden Globe win.
"They got to Best Actor and they said my name last, and we were like, 'oh!' So, Dallas - I'm really proud at how the whole move is represented for this," said McConaughey, Academy Award Best Actor nominee.
His "Dallas Buyers Club" co-star -- Jared Leto -- was also nominated for Best Supporting Actor.
"It was the role of a lifetime. I hadn't made a film in almost six years, and I read the script and fell in love," said Leto, Academy Award Supporting Actor nominee.
Ellen DeGeneres is hosting the big night with an all star list of Hollywood's leading ladies up for "Best Actress" including Cate Blanchett, Sandra Bullock, Dame Judy Dench, Amy Adams and Meryl Streep.
"The only actress who has never won an Oscar is Amy Adams. This is her 5th Oscar nomination, so it will be interesting to see who comes out on top," said Bronwyn Barnes, Entertainment Weekly senior editor.
There were also some surprising omissions. Lee Daniels' "The Butler" didn't receive any nominations. Neither did Tom Hanks or Robert Redford for Best Actor.
The 86th Annual Academy awards airs March 2 on KQ2.
