Popular Baby Monitors Recalled over Burn Risks

The recall applies to more than dozen models made by Summer Infant.
(CNN) - A popular baby monitor is being recalled over burn risks connected to the battery.

Summer Infant is recalling 800,000 baby video monitors.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said the rechargeable battery on the handheld monitor can overheat and rupture.

The recall applies to more than dozen models made by Summer Infant.

The units under the recall were sold between 2010 and 2012 at Wal-Mart, Target, Babies "R" Us and Amazon.

There have been 22 reports of overheated and ruptured batteries.
