Public Hearings Set for Grain Belt Express Line

The Missouri Public Service Commission announced dates for eight public hearings.
(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) The public will have a chance to voice their opinion on the proposed Grain Belt Express Line.

The Missouri Public Service Commission announced dates for eight public hearings.

The hearings are part of the PSC's review of Grain Belt Express's application to build a 750 mile electric transmission line that would stretch across parts of Kansas, Missouri, Illinois and Indiana.

Around 200 miles of the line would cross into eight counties in Missouri including Buchanan County.

Clean Line says the project would provide enough energy per year for more than 1.4 million homes.
