Record Wear House Closes After 34 Years

The store first opened at its location on the South Belt Highway in 1980.
(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) After more than three decades in business, Record Wear House has officially closed its doors for good.

The store first opened at its location on the South Belt Highway in 1980.

Thirty four years later, owner Susie Bohart says it's time to retire.

"We're excited but it's kind of bittersweet," she said. "We're gonna miss the store and it's gonna be sad. We are going to miss our customers because we had such great customers over the years."

The store sold a variety of items including t-shirts, CD's and novelty items.
