Reeder Registers as Write-In Candidate for SJSD Board Election

Kenneth Reeder has registered to be a write-in candidate for the St. Joseph School District Board of Education election. The election will be held on April 3. There are three positions available.
(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) Kenneth Reeder has registered to be a write-in candidate for the St. Joseph School District Board of Education election.

Reeder registered with Buchanan County Clerk Mary Baack-Garvey the day after the District's Jan. 17 deadline.

By registering as a write-in, Reeder did not have to obtain the 750 signatures required to be on the ballot.

Baack-Garvey said running as a write-in is risky. "You run the risk of people remembering your name, and remembering to fill in the oval," Baack-Garvey said.

Those on the ballot include: Martin Rucker, Lori Prussman, Dennis Snethen, Ham Henderson, Chris Danford, and Walt Hanabury.

The election takes place on April 3.
