REMSA, Buchanan County Commissioners Put Finishing Touches on New Ambulance Service

Regional Emergency Medical Services Authority (REMSA) will take over Heartland EMS July 1.
(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) We are less than a month away from seeing new logos on ambulances in Buchanan County.

The trucks will have a logo that reads 'Buchanan County EMS.'

Representatives from the county, and REMSA, the ambulance service taking over Heartland EMS, met today to tie any loose ends or wrap up details they may have overlooked.

"Check to make sure every contract is signed, to make sure everything is in place. Just those last little details, dotting the I's, and crossing the T's," said R.T. Turner, Buchanan County Presiding Commissioner.

REMSA ambulance service will take over Heartland EMA on July 1.

The group will continue to use Heartland's garage to store the trucks, but will need its own new headquarters by next March.
