Savannah Hungry for More

<br>Savages Return Experienced, Talented, and Playoff Tested

Savannah, MO--Savannah's made two straight trips to the playoffs and plowed through the MEC Conference undefeated in 2010.

In 2011, expectations are greater for this rising program.

"We're expecting to win. We go into every game confident and  we're wanting to come out on top," Blake Deal, Savannah Wide Receiver, said.

"Our goal is to win every game and I don't think we should cut ourselves short, not expecting that," Blake Burson, Savannah Linebacker, said.

High expectations surround  Savannah for good reasons. The Savages lose four seniors off 2010's  playoff team. Head Coach Mark Cole puts a premium on players who've been through the postseason battles.

"You can't place a value on on-field experience. If you got kids that are returning that have played varsity, then you've got something to work with."

New quarterback  Zane Wilt will have plenty to work with. Four of  five starters return to the offensive line. The wide receiving corps regains seniors Blake Deal and Tyler Wilt, along with state high-jumper Ryle Williams.

"We're pretty excited about our passing game, we've got three really good weapons for us at the wide receiver postion," Cole said.
