Volunteers came out to help mow and clean up the garden area.
They began preparations to plant the first round of vegetables.
The community garden will give Second Harvest access to fresh, nutritious food for the community.
The garden for Harvest House will be grown and cared for by volunteer gardeners.
"Well we got a great mix of folks that bring a lot of expertise and we've got our landscaping company that's involved. Just a great number of people who are very interested in gardening and sustainable food system. We are excited to have that group involved and look forward to getting going," said David Davenport, Second Harvest Community Food Bank CEO.
