A 61-year-old man is headed to court after police responded to a call about marijuana at a senior living facility Wednesday.
(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) A 61-year-old man is headed to court and out of a job after police say they found marijuana at a senior living facility Wednesday.

Police say they received a report of an odor of burning marijuana at Country Squire on Buckingham Street in St. Joseph.

Capt. Jeff Wilson said when officers responded to investigate, they located marijuana. Officers issued a city summons for drug possession to George Desilva, Jr.

A spokesman for the company said Desilva worked as a co-manager for the facility. He lived at the facility and offered assistance to residents 24/7.

Desilva is no longer allowed to live at the facility due to his termination from Country Squire.
