St. Joseph Man Arrested After October Burglaries in Kansas

Scott Parker, 34, is out on bond after being arrested for alleged car burglaries last October in Atchison, Kan. James Bonar, 48, was also arrested back in October for the alleged crimes and is in custody of the Buchanan Co. Jail.
(ATCHISON, Kan.) After months of searching, a St. Joseph man has been arrested and charged for car burglaries in Atchison, Kan., last October.

Scott Parker, 34, was recently arrested in Johnson Co., Kan., and has been charged with vehicle burglary.

On Oct. 5, several car burglaries occurred throughout the city of Atchison.

The Atchison Police Department executed a warrant for two St. Joseph residents, including Parker.

James Bonar, 48, was arrested back in October in St. Joseph and is currently in custody at the Buchanan Co. Jail. Bonar is awaiting extradition to Atchison.

KAIR radio reports that Parker was able to post the $10,000 bond six hours after his booking.

Atchison Police Chief Mike Wilson said a substantial amount of the stolen property has been recovered.
