St. Joseph Man Charged with Statutory Rape of Teen

According to court documents, the 21-year-old man forced a 16-year-old girl to have sex with him.
(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) A St. Joseph man is charged with statutory rape after police say he forced a 16-year-old girl to have sex with him.

According to court documents, 21-year-old Anthony Rowe, forced the victim to have sex with him at a St. Joseph home last year.

Rowe's bail was denied Tuesday. Police say Rowe's girlfriend threatened the victim after Rowe had been arrested. In 2009, Rowe pleaded guilty to failing to register as a sex offender. A four-year sentence was suspended and Rowe was placed on probation for three years.

Rowe is scheduled to appear in court Friday.
