It was part of the Strip Run 5k, an event that raises money for Big Brothers Big Sisters.
Runners were encouraged to dress in layers of clothes they wanted to donate.
At designated checkpoints, runners stripped down their clothes and dropped them off at donation bins.
"I think it's a really good cause and it's a fun way to do it," said Kevin Mabury, who donated five bags from his church congregation.
"We've seen a lot of social media behind this," said Melissa Carson, with Big Brothers Big Sisters. "Our donation center just from hearing about the strip run has been increasing the months leading up to this run."
Big Brothers and Big Sisters has bins around town to collect more donations.
Organizers hope to bring it to St. Joseph next year as well.
