( ST. JOSEPH, MO. ) It's going to be a hot and humid day to begin the weekend as a warm front continues to move through the region. A heat advisory goes into effect at noon as temperatures will climb into the mid 90s. Factoring in the humidity, heat index values could be as high as 107 degrees. The advisory will continue until 7pm. It will also be windy today as winds will be out of the southwest at 10 to 15 miles per hour and gusting up to 25 miles per hour. A cold front will try to move in overnight, but will stall out over southern Nebraska and Iowa. This will keep temperatures mild overnight. Lows will be in the mid 70s. The front will slowly move through on Saturday, but temperatures will still top out in the lower 90s.
