But, the project uses cans instead of regular building materials. It's all part of the the first We CAN Build benefit for Second Harvest Community Food Bank in St. Joseph.
Teams are encouraged to join the competition, using only canned goods to build unique structures.
The public will vote on their favorite through donation buckets. Then, the canned goods will go back to the food bank.
"Basically, this is an opportunity for teams and local businesses to come together and build the most creative structures all from canned goods," said Aaron Smullin, Second Harvest public relations specialist.
We CAN Build takes place on May 3. Check-in is at 9 a.m. The building begins at 10 a.m.
The event coincides with the food bank's Building Hunger Free Communities Annual Fund Drive.
