Teen Accused of Helping Runaway Girl Faces New Charges

Jeramy Sanders, 17, is charged with three additional, unrelated felonies after assisting Megan Guffey, 14, run away last week.
(GALLATIN, Mo.) A teen accused of helping his girlfriend run away from her Grundy County home is now charged with three additional, unrelated felonies.

Jeramy Sanders, 17, was charged with felony possession of child pornography, furnishing pornographic material to a minor and resisting/interfering with a felony arrest.

Sanders was arrested for a parole violation from last year, according to Daviess County Sheriff Ben Becerra.

Sanders is accused of helping Megan Guffey, 14, run away on Feb. 17.

The pair was found in Daviess County, but not until after an Endangered Person Advisory was issued.

Sanders is scheduled for an arraignment on Monday morning in Daviess County.

Becerra said Sanders was denied bond for the probation violation.

He is scheduled to appear in court for that charge next month.
