A St. Joseph teen injured in a motorcycle crash is now giving back to the community.
(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) A St. Joseph teen injured in a motorcycle crash is now giving back to the community.

19-year-old Jordan Jackson was critically injured in a motorcycle accident in May when a driver pulled out in front of him on the Belt Highway.

He was in a coma in the hospital and had to rely on the Community Blood Center for blood.

Since the accident, Jackson says he has wanted to do something to help the community and decided to host a blood drive.

"They gave me a lot of blood and I pretty much used all of it that was there so, this is just to put some extra out there so we hopefully don't run out," he said.

Jackson also used the event to raise awareness for bikers.

He also says the accident won't keep him from riding.
