Trails West to Accept Cash for Festival Food Purchases in 2014

Food tickets are going away and patrons will once again be able to use cash to purchase food from vendors. Tickets will still be required in the beer tents.
(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) Trails West is set to return to St. Joseph in August with a big change.

Food tickets are going away and patrons will once again be able to use cash to purchase food from vendors. Tickets will still be required in the beer tents.

According to festival organizers, the decision was based on input from customers and vendors.

Trails West will also be opening an hour earlier on Sunday, August 17. The festival will kick off that day with a community church service. Guests can get in for free between the hours of 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. that day only.

The festival runs from August 15-17 at Civic Center Park in St. Joseph. Trails West buttons and t-shirts for 2014 cover admission for all three days. Buttons are $8 in advance or $10 at the gates.
