Travis Partridge throws the game-tying touchdown in a 14-11 win in the BC Lions' preseason opener.
(EDMONTON, Alberta) Needing a score with 2:43 left in regulation, Travis Partridge hooked up with Tulsa product Brian Burnham for a 23-yard, game-tying touchdown in his Canadian Footbll league debut on Friday.

The former Missouri Western quarterback's was the precursor to a 38-yard game-winning field goal, lifting the BC Lions to a 14-11 win in their preseason opener.

Partridge, who entered the game in the fourth quarter behind starter Kevin Glenn and John Beck. He completed 6 of 11 passes for 108 yards. He made good on a 40-yard completion to Whitman Tomusiak on his first drive before being intercepted two plays later.

He joined the Lions in late May after spending a week at the Minnesota Vikings' rookie minicamp.
