Western Awaits Word from Chiefs on Training Camp Start Date

That's after The NFL Network says an agreement on basic terms was reached early this morning. The owners voted unanimously to approve the collective bargaining agreement last Thursday.

NFL free agency could start as soon as this afternoon after the reported agreement between players and team owners.
 
According to ESPN, the projected timeline calls for the league year to begin on August 2nd and trades could happen as soon as today.

Missouri Western State University is anxious to host the Kansas City Chiefs for their second training camp on the St. Joseph campus. A university spokesman, Kent Heier, said this morning Western does not yet have a set date for camp to begin. The university is still waiting on word from the Chiefs.

According to the NFL Network, if the lockout ends today, training camps for the Cardinals, Raiders, Ravens, Eagles, Jaguars, Patriots, Seahawks, Chargers, Broncos and Cowboys would start Wednesday.

The rest of the NFL teams would open their training camps on Thursday, Friday and Sunday.
